Start Family Weekend off the right way – with breakfast! Our Fall Family Meeting starts with some amazing guest speakers from campus leadership as well as an overview of the day's events from the Director of Parent Engagement. Breakfast is limited to the first 450 registrants and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration remains open for all other Family Weekend activities and events even if the breakfast sells out.

The Division of Undergraduate Education will show families how students thrive as they embark on their UCR journey. The “R’Experience” panel will feature current UCR students and alumni who will share how Undergraduate Education programs helped shape their paths, navigate challenges, find support, and prepare for future goals. Students and families will also be able to visit more than 10 program tables, speak directly with program leads, and learn about academic support, research, internships, leadership, mentoring, and other opportunities available across the division. Giveaways will be available for students and parents as they visit the tables, connect with campus resources, and explore the many ways Undergraduate Education can support students at UCR. Discover how our programs empower students to accomplish their goals while earning their degree, and long after graduation.

Homecoming & Family Weekend Celebrations

Join us at the Belltower for carnival games, NPR Tinier Desk Performances, a Relaxation Station, and food trucks! Many of the schools and colleges, and campus departments will be tabling and handing out lots of UCR spirit gear.

Join the University of California Riverside Police Department  to help educate our students on safe ridership and the rules of the road. Students and Highlander families will have an opportunity to test their scooter rider skills in a closed course.

Want to bring the littles? We've got you covered with our very own Camp Highlander! The award-winning year-round Camp Highlander is a camp experience like no other. Camp Highlander offers indoor and outdoor traditional camp activities, leadership, STEAM, and sports which focus on essential skill development, learning, and fun. At Camp Highlander we celebrate play. We provide a broad academic focus combining engaging activities with STEAM curriculum including Astronomy, Creative Writing, Art, Neuroscience, Environmental Toxicology, and Earth Sciences. Through our collaboration with NASA and its GLOBE program we strive to support our youth on a journey to becoming citizen scientists.

Join the University of California Riverside Police Department for an exciting fitness circuit that involves a short sprint and weighted carries. In this Family Weekend itineration, parents and their students will face off against one another to see who is best!
